Well, my wife gets paid to write code for a living (part-time) and
"speaks PHP", so I guess I'm not the best person to comment.
HV's configuration feels a bit "dated" even compared to the
environments
that I was used to when I last wrote code for a living (about 7 years
ago) but Mark McCall is clearly far better placed than I to speak as a
"smart, but not programmer" type.
No idea at all about Python.
