RE: [OT] Freeview PVRs

I'd also be interested in recommendations for a PVR.

Don't have one yet but I've been looking at the Humax PVR-9200T which was
recommended in Feb 2006 issue of PCW Buyer's Guide. Best price I can find
i=
t
is around =A3209 inc delivery.
Also considered a Tivo but don't want to pay =A310 per month for the EPG
feature (I could probably get Sky+ and Multiroom for that price).

What's the current flavour of the month in the line of freeview PVRs?

I have a Thomson DHD4000 which is a cracking unit and I was thinking of
putting a bigger drive in (standard fitment is 40Gb) but now I'm thinking
o=
f
passing on to my inlaws (as it's been absolutely stable since I've had it)
and getting something newer.

I'd like something with twin freeview tuners, a bigger hard disc and - if
possible - the ability to pull recordings off onto a PC for writing to a
DV=
D
(whether by USB or by Ethernet). The only thing I didn't like with the
Thomson DHD4000 was that you couldn't start to watch a recording whilst it
was still being recorded so that would be nice. (Anyone know if there are
any units that fit this bill that have integrated DVD writers?)
