DVD to *smaller* ISOs ?

Interesting read,
I'm now trying AnyDVD and CloneDVD as I've not done this before. With
CloneDVD I presume the target has to be set to .iso. I'm copying the entire
disk but have taken out the Hungarian subtitles. DVD video quality is 53%
and output size is 4483MB (input size is 7393MB).
Does this sound about right or should video quality be higher?
