iPod Shuffle / ITunes

Hi all,

Hope Christmas has been kind to y'all...

Here, they seem to have got my number - I got a book called

"Is it just me or is everything shit?"

anyhow... I also got an ipod shuffle (as did the wife).. my first ipod of
any sort.

First off, a couple of gripes which, IMHO, should also be in that book:

1. When they sell ipod shuffles they should include a f***ing microscope so
that you can read the serial number on the back of the shuffle that the
itunes software needs to install itself.

2. Why, for the love of God, does it need to reboot my sodding machine,
just to 'install' a USB device! I'll tell you why - it's cos Mr.
Propriatory came to town and installed an HFS to FAT driver - that's why -
Stoopid gimboid splange gobblers!

ok, so onto the point of this message...

the iTunes software just seems to chew up all the cpu, especially when
playing a track - Is this normal? Is the iTunes software something else
that needs to go in the book? Can multiple shuffles share the same itunes
software? Since I had to use the serial number on the install, is the
software tied to the shuffle?

TIA

Andy
