mp3 tagging

  • Subject: mp3 tagging

I've used MusicMatch Jukebox Plus as my mp3 player on my PC for as long as
I
can remember and have never felt the need to look at or use anything else.
Today I went to tag a newly added track and it refused to do it saying I
had
to upgrade to MusicMatch Jukebox Plus. I couldn't understand why as that's
what I was already on. However I've now discovered that with each version
you only get 12 months of free, what they call Super Tagging. My 12 months
are up! Bummer. It's a real shame as the tagging almost always found
exactly the right info, album art, etc and renamed the files in the format
I
wanted.

I'm loath to spend another 20 bucks to get the same software again (and
again in 12 months time)! I think it might have been cheaper all those
years
ago to take out the lifetime version at 40 bucks. Anyway hindsight's a
wonderful thing.

My question is what's everyone else using as (free) mp3 playing software
that does neat tagging??

Malcolm
