I have a Canon Ixus 40 (4 Megapixel) - I got it for about £150 from the
Canon outlet store on EBay - It is perfect. With a fast SD card it will
stream 30 FPS video at 640x480 to fill the entire card. Brilliant. I
think
4MP represents the best trade off quality vs storage as I think you are
approaching the diffraction limit of the optics if you go any higher. Huge
screen too for such a tiny camera - and you can buy an underwater case for
it!
