I know there are many seasoned travellers here....

We're going to New York on Friday for a long weekend - I've never been
further than the Channel Islands before.

I think I've got my head round e-tickets to get me on the plane :)

I was after any advice people might have to make it an enjoyable time -
stupid things I've thought about are - can you use ATM's over there with
a
barclays connect card ? - are there any sorts of Taxi's we should get
from/to the Airport so we're not ripped of like tourists (which we are),
and
any tips for jet lag coming back ?

I cant believe that at 39 I'm actually getting nervous about going on
holiday - not worried about flying, but everthing else is a bit new to
me :)
