[OT] Bad TV picture after dragging some CT100 coax

Just finished dragging a load of cat5e and CT100 coax from what will be
node0 to the two front bedrooms. I have temporarily wired up a length
of coax to run from a MaxiView 8 way powered splitter in the cellar, to
node0 and then have connected this temporary coax (with standard
male/female
coax connectors ..not F connectors) to the end of the new CT100
cable running up to the bedroom. Problem is that the picture is awful !
Some channels are worse than others but all have a diagonal stripe running
through them. The existing cheap brown coax that the previous owner used is
still in place and gives a perfect picture (from the same maxiview
splitter)
The brown coax takes a much more direct route (like up the wall and through
the
ceiling!). The new CT100 cable is probably about 25 meters I guess.

I have added a cheap aerial booster (10db gain) in node0 and this has
definitely
improved it is still not crystal clear like on the cheap brown coax !

What have I done wrong !!

Help

Marcus
