Re: DAB Upgrade & IR Control

Kevin

Thanks, I had seen the xAP plugin discussions on the XLobby site. I've
thought about trying it out (time, or lack of being the issue as
ever). However, I use Comfort (with ACE) as my main HA 'engine'
and most of the discussion on XL is mainly to do with HomeSeer. (For
me, the ACE end plays a useful added part as it does the TTS
announcements work and adds an email out facility.)

I've also noticed on the ACE site
(http://www.customautomationtech.com)
that they (Dan H) have been
announcing a forthcoming feature of xAP support for quite a long time!

I did dabble a little bit with xAP (loaded the hub and got weather
plugin running) but never got anywhere serious.

I have a feeling there may be an xAP plugin for Comfort too but I was
unclear whether this was really an ongoing/supported project.

If you have any views about the ability (and robustness) to get XL to
integrate with Comfort (and/or ACE) using xAP I'd be most interested.
It might just encourage me to really try to get to grips with it
properly and use XL for more of a HA interface.

Regards

Richard
