I have to agree with Mark that the Xbox with XBMC is great.=20
This forms the centre of my viewing system in the main room (I only have
on=
e Xbox at the moment)
I use it for viewing BitTorrent downloads, very little it won't play. All
m=
y MP3s are available via the Xbox, I also have 10Gig of Karaoke (MP3G), as
=
well as those digital family photos that wouldn't get look at half as
often=
as they do... I don't play games on the Xbox, never got round to it...
The killer app for me is being able to watch the TiVo via the Xbox. My
TiVo=
is 200 Metres from my front room and now I have my LAN working properly (A=
ll Full Duplex now) I have all the TiVo content available as well...
For the cost I don't think anything comes close.
I also like the idea of separate storage for the content and using XBMC as
=
a thin client.
Only downside, power switch, not set up for remote control but there are
mo=
ds available.

I use 3 xboxes as clients for movies and mp3s and they are superb! XBMC
now allows control of the fan speed and while they are still by no means
silent this is a good improvement.

Errr...right...ok, you lifting yours a lot or something? :)

The Xbox will crap all over most PCs for TV out quality not to mention the
superb interface of XBMC it's constant development and cost (free). Add
to that the cost of an Xbox (=A395 plus say =A360 for chip, remote and
cabl=
e)
and i still recon its unbeatable.
