I have (am) tried it. It integrates very neatly with GMail (even
uninstalls
the GMail notifier). Just spread the word and soon MSN will be a thing of
the past ;)

Oh, and maybe I should have prefixed the subject with [OT], but as the
standard/api's can be used by anyone, just think of the HA potential! Get
an instant message from your HA system whenever an important event
occurs...
