Nope - the only apps other than a standard MCE install are "Sonic
Primetime"
(for writing recordings out to DVD) and AnyDVD/CloneDVD (for ripping DVDs)
... Defragmenting the drive does cure the choppy playback but there should
be no reason to have to do this as the drive is 250Gb and almost empty
(only
about 50-60Gb used at most). It's also a 7,200rpm / 8Mb cache "RAID
Edition"
drive (rated for constant 24/7 accessing) so the drive should be up to the
job.

It's a 2.4GHz Athlon XP with a gig of DDR 400 RAM ... Speed shouldn't be an
issue.
