In some ways different colouring is good - in other ways it may be more
pain
than gain. Having just moved into our new house (wired with in excess of
4km
of data cable) I have found that it is amazing already how I am using
cable
for a different purpose than intended (lighting bus aside of course).
Basically it is simply structured cabling. As long as it is terminated
appropriately (identifable) at the MDF I personally wouldn't find
different
colours that advantageous. Just a thought.
BTW - I used the method of identifying cable with coloured bands - it
worked
amazingly well when I came to terminate at the MDF. Finding wires was
relatively simple.
