The lexmark would print - thats it - i dont expect a printserver for a
multifunction to do much else unless you have a HP printer with their very
expensive hp option.

The linksys ones wont even print from notepad - and linksys have
acknowledged it wont work with multifunctionals

one not to get is the Keyspan USB print server that ebuyer do - my mate's
just sent his back - great at printing but wouldn't handle the fax and
scanning!

Are you saying the Lexmark worked with all functions Gareth?  He's now
looking for a replacement too (and his multi function device is a
Lexmark)...

Help !

I have a nice Canon MP780 Multifunction printer and I'm trying to find a
print server that will work with it. It needs to be one that
specifically
supports a multifunction device (Linksys's USB print servers do not -
tried it - doesnt work).

Borrowed a mate's Lexmark USB print server and that works, but the
company
we get things from cant get it for me.
