Malcolm,

See the previous stuff on Web Server Access. I have mine secured behind an
ISA Server - it's the reverse proxying thing again. The server takes care
of
authentication (and even SSL termination, if you want) and forwards the
authenticated requests to the downstream server (in this case, your TiVo).
