There is a Meteor plugin for HomeSeer and also a xAP plugin too. The
latter gives you the ability to create a HomeSeer device from any xAP
source and likewise all your HomeSeer devices become xAP enabled and
controllable. Makes for a very flexible setup. You will need a xAP
Meteor conduit and there are actually about three of those by different
people.

I released beta 1 of xAPTel (supports Meteor) around 6 weeks ago and I
should release beta 2 this weekend which supports dual Meteors (two
lines) and also the Pegasus units. Additionally a modem or Pegasus can
be used as a dialler on you Meteor line. Full incoming CID modem support
will follow shortly if you don't have a Meteor or Pegasus. Lastly Skype
is now supported too using both SkypeIN and SkypeOUT for PSTN access,
along with initial Instant Messenger schema reporting.

Where this really comes into its own is paired with xAP SwitchBoard from
JamesT. xAPSwitchboard gives you a web interface to all your call
history both incoming and outgoing and handles a full STD and callerID
lookup database to provide names and locations against the callers. You
can even popup a little map that shows you where the caller is based on
STD or postcode. Calls can be returned (dialled) from the web interface
and it even integrates with multiple copies of Outlook running over a
network to screen pop and synchronise contact information. Calls can be
announced using 'text to speech' or displayed using xAP on say a Slimp3
, it displays looked up STD locations as you dial the number which is
fun to see. James released beta2 of xAP switchboard just this week.
It needs xAPTel beta 2 for some of the fancier features.

Where this would benefit you Neil is that HomeSeer now has access to all
the CID lookup for callers name, company etc and you have a distinct
call log web page available for call history.

http://www.mi4.biz hosts both
xAPSwitchboard and I will post xAPTel
beta 2 there this weekend hopefully.
