Ah, sorry. I see what you mean now.
C-Bus is indeed pink, and that's how it comes from Clipsal. The pink
stuff has a sheath rated to 220V (or 240V, whatever) which allows the
cable to co-exist in a consumer unit with mains voltage cables (per the
wiring regs.). Other non-pink Cat5 may also have a suitably rated sheath
but IIRC no one has posted details of those cables.
The in-wall cables are usually various shades of grey, depending on the
individual manufacturer.
Patch leads come in pretty much all the colours of the rainbow, and then
some more too. I don't recall coming across any particular guidelines or
suggestions as to what colours relate to what service, but I know a
number of list members have come up with their own convention.

Have a pretty good colour range available (no connection etc. other than
a happy customer)
Maybe ask a Cedia installer what convention they follow?
