I've not got a mac, so can't confirm, but the PC version of MSN
definetley lets you switch on save conversations, which puts both sides
of the conversation into a .xml file that can be read/ grepped/ whatever
to your hearts content...... Under tools/options/messages on the last
few versions of the PC client.
