Any Crestron experts here?

My close friend and business partner has a Crestron control system
which consists of a small wireless remote and the rack-mount control
box.
His DVD player packed up on him and he bought a new one. His old
player was a Panasonic and his replacement is a Denon.
Needless to say that the Crestron remote can no longer control the DVD
player.

I guess there are 2 options:
1- Buy another panasonic DVD player and hope the IR codes & controls
are the same.
2- Re-program the Crestron to control the Denon.

His original installer was an Israeli (don't ask me why!!) company
which is now out of business. He got a quote from an "autherised"
Crestron dealer and cost is just too stupid to mention... And this is
labour (programing) only - they are not supplying any kit!! One could
buy an entire HA system for IR control for less than what they are
asking!!
My question: is there anywhere that programing software can be
obtained for this system? From what I recall of Creston, it's all done
via the serial port of the control unit.
Failing that, is there anyone on this forum who might want to do this
for a fee? His house is in central London (SW1). If so, please drop me
a line off-list.
