Sky AND Sky + Distribution

Just wondering if anyones tried this, or has a better idea ....
I've just gone for Sky multiroom and I'm going to have the extra box
installed at Node 0 (Which doesn't exist yet - but that's another
story!)
I also have my trusty Sky+ in the living room and I'd like to
distribute this as well for the odd time I want to watch something
off the planner when in bed :-)
So the cunning plan is to set the RF out channel to different
channels on both boxes, connect them both using a y splitter into a
distribution amp (loft box or similiar), make a really hot cup of
tea, and hope it works.
As the normal Sky boxes and Sky + use a different IR command set,
using one remote shouldn't affect the other box.
This leaves me with the choice of either having two remotes (one Sky,
one Sky+) or using a multiremote thingy. Any reccomendations on a
fool proof remote that will do both ?
Ta
Kevin.
