I use the RJ45 RS232 socket on my PCI - it's connected to an MSS100. I made
up the cable
myself by reference to the PCI manual pin layout. But, I do seem to
remember something
strange. I think I had to swap rx & tx around from what I was
expecting. Not sure if that
was a problem with the manual or a problem with my interpretation. Probably
the latter!

Anyway, it works.
