Re: Clipsal rethink
Martin
As Paul mentioned... a pc interface and a mss100 unit is cheaper
and does the same job as a cni device.........
I doubt it though that the Oz people will be allowed to sell to the UK
since
the UK has already got CBUS distributors ...

Subject: [ukha_d] Clipsal rethink
Back on again regarding Clipsal...it's a bit of a saga but it's quite a
bit of dosh, so I'd appreciate any thoughts.
The idea was to use momentary Clipsal switches for 4 zones and a PIR
for the 4th zone.
My shopping list was
1x L5504D2A Four channel dimmer with power supply
1x 5751L PIR sensor
1x 5104AUX Four channel Auxiliary Input Module (NOT the 5104BCL bus
coupler)
1x 5500PC PC interface
The total uk sourced cost for this is £800 + VAT
Then someone from Iceland posted with the link for
http://www.cbussales.com
My new shopping list could be
1x L5504D2A Four channel dimmer with power supply
1x 5751L PIR sensor
3x EA5082NL Neo switch
1x 5055DL Neo DLT
1x 5500CN Ethernet interface
The total cost for this is £690 + delivery + import duty + VAT
This is a bit more expensive, but advantage is I get ethernet interface
instead of RS232.
This claims to do everything the RS232 interface does and more...is
this the case ?
Also use intelligent switches instead of momentary including in one
area the DLT switch which looks very programmable.
Here's the DLT switch, has anyone used one?

Thanks,
Martin
