Hi,
Thought I would mention this here before I put the stuff on ebay. All kit
is
in excellent working order.
I am selling a Dell Poweredge 350 1U rackmount server (something like a
800MHz celeron +2 30Gig HD). Its currenly running linux and serving web
pages. I bought it off ebay not that long ago for £250 ish offers accepted
Also, of my own construction a 4u rackmount 6 bay hot-swappable raid 5
system. Its uses the rather nice promise sx6000 card with on-board memory
and the six 6 super-swap 1000 hot-swap trays with led indicators of status
etc. There are currently 6x120gig (£50 each new) hard drives in at moment
(which you could replace with larger if you so wished). I may even have a
spare 120. It has a 500w (I think) power supply and gigabit ethernet and I
imagine I stuck 512 or 1gig of ram in there. Its currently running SUSE
professional and serving data using samba.
This site has the promise card and bays (£212 + 6*£45)
http://www.stuff-uk.net/acatalog/Promise_Host_Cards_and_Adapters.html
This is the case
http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/Compucase_S411_.html
The processor, motherboard, memory and psu were all good quality at the time
so I imagine around a 2ghz processor (intel).
Sensible offers only please. I'm obviously not expecting new prices nor
will
offers of £50 quid the lot go down too well :)
I also have a dlink racjmount 10/100 24 port switch for sale. Its a nice
one
and I can dig out the sn if required.
Chris
