Thanks for the support, but what I was thinking is how one can test that i=
t's up to gigabit. I don't want to spend load on a tester. So thought

gigabit certified cables and patch panel type sockets would mean that it w=
as.

I agree, its a bit scary if you've never done it before, but once you
do 10 or 20 it gets simpler. Getting the first one punched down and
tested took the longest for me, after that its just a copying job....
