My BT keyboard (an MS one) has quite good range; I've not lost the signal
from anywhere in my house, upstairs and downstairs, so I'd say you'd be
fine
in your environment. That said, a Sony Erricson headset I had barely
managed
10 foot, so not all BT devices are created the same.

Hi all,

Anyone out there using a bluetooth wireless keyboard / mouse
combination.

They advertise 30 feet range, but I wanted some real world experience
on this one?

I intend to use it in an open plan living room kitchen / kitchen /
bedroom enviroment, with a max range of about 7 meters from where my
USB patches out of my CAT5.

Does it get anywhere near the range as advertised?
