Did you try rewiring the extension sockets? I had home highway so I had
to get BT out to do the conversion, they measured the line loss at 57db
at the cable head, but as soon as the internal extensions were
reconnected the ADSL would drop out. Turned out to be dodgy wiring on
one of the sockets...

I far, far away from the exchange, and have now got my ADSL installed,
but it only works if I disconnect all the extensions. (otherwise it says
"no dial tone")

If I replace the master socket with one of the NTE5 plates which
separate the ADSL before the extensions, should that help? Or do I need
to look into something else?
