Probably worth looking at then.  I want to use an HP LJ1000 that does not
like the usual print-servers.  Just trying to weigh-up the pros/cons of
replacing the printer and adding a print server or going down this route.

Hi John,

USB devices show up in the application that comes with it. You can connect
to a device eg a USB floppy drive at which point it is now part of your PC.

Everyone else sees it as in use by you.

It mentioned an "AutoConnect" option for USB printers whereby as
you print
it automatically connects to the device then drops it freeing it up for
other users. Didnt have a USB printer to try it with but I will try and
find
one.
