The commonest problem is reverse routing. Can you surf the internet
(or at least ping www.altavista.co.uk) from the server. (The reason
for picking altavista.co.uk is that it allows pings, wheras many sites
block them.

Given you're using Smoothie, remember that you have to set BOTH a
NAT/PAT rule _AND_ a pinhole. It's not like commercial firewalls where
the rule sets are integrated.

You may find that the ukha IRC channel is the ideal place for
