If you have a DVD Drive in your PC, use something like DVD Decrypter to
rip it to a file, and then VirtualDub to clip a chunk
out/resample/remove the audio/etc...

DVD Decrpyter may even have the ability to rip a "Range"... I'm
not
sure.  I've only ever ripped a full DVD.

Another suggestion... Take some of the intro/cut scenes from various
Simpson's Halloween episodes.  Those are all available in avi format
over torrent, from some place like suprnova.org.

I did think about that, but not sure I have the software to edit up a
video sequence into something decent.

Also it is a french window, so it is tall and not so wide.

I am probably just thinking too hard!

Whats the simplest setup to grab a scene from a DVD for editing?
