Fw: [comfort-technical] New Inexpensive A/V Distribution System over CAT5

Hi, i'm actually wiring up at the moment but i'm going to use the Scion
system. I think it is great, and the price is brilliant. Well i'm actually
getting a big discount. RRP €1250 but a friend of mine sells them (which I
never new until Now!!!!) so i'm getting it for about €900-€1000.

I've seen it in action. Super piece of equipment! Highly recommend.

Congrats ..

Is it a boy or a girl?

Lets hope you can keep it under control! I am sure it will get your
undivided attention.

You can kiss goodbye to going out at nights though, and be prepared to
spend countless hours nursing it. I hope SWMBO understands this.

A bit of topic may be but I'm going to replace my main PC with a new
laptop but am bewildered by the different processors. Want to spend
under a grand but for that I can get an AMD 64 3200, a P4 2800 or a
Centrino 1500. Is there any real difference and why are the
Centrino's so low in comparison? Any guidance appreciated.

Rob

Martin,

I'll take a look at a cable (I did write it down somewhere but
b#ggered if I can find it now!) and let you know shortly.

I am also an expectant father (in the ADSL sense).

Exchange activated on 1 Sept (allegedly). My line should have been enabled
on 8 Sept... the ADSL router just sits there with a blinking light, waiting
for sync with the exchange.

Wonderful customer service... "you will be enabled when you are
enabled...
we are very busy & cannot confirm when your line will be enabled".

Thankfully my other ISDN line is still working.

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow... it will come when it is good & ready
&
wishing that it was here now does not make it so!

After much trying and heartache my wife and I have been told we can expect
a
new arrival soon. We have had false starts before and are not getting our
hopes up but a letter from BT says we can get BB! Naturally as the proud
expectant father I have placed my 1Mb order this morning (within 5 mins of
poening the letter) and now we wait. If the gestation goes smoothly we
shuold expect a quick delivery of our long awaited and much longed for
addition.

We are already decorating the room in anticipation and have drawn up a
shortlist of names - Naturally Vigor is up there.

I look forward to the sleepless nights!
