Everyone here will have different experiences, but:

Western Digital - good drives, touch wood these have not failed on me yet.
They do a ver nice drive with a 8mb cache, of which I have 5 in my software
raid 5 config.
Fujitsu - once had two drives out of a three drive raid 5 pack fail within
10 minutes(!)
Maxtor - Had these fail on me.
