It will do, just check if it's regulated, prob. best if you get a regulated
one anyway, make sure the +ve and -ve are the right way around.

The only thing I'd add is that there aren't many PSUs that will supply 1.5A
at 12V, most of the cheap ones only supply 500-600ma, i.e. 0.6A.
