Tim,

I had this problem as well the other day.

I believe you have to have it set as master on the secondary channel or
slave on the primary channel.

Subject: [ukha_d] Master / Slave for CD-ROM ??

Guys,

Bit of a basic question I think. I've got a mobo with primary &
secondary IDE channels, HDD connected to primary & boots fine with CD
unconnected. The PC wont boot though if the CD drive is set to Slave and
installed on the secondary IDE channel.

Do I need to set the CD drive as a Master for the secondary channel ?

Thanks,

Tim H.
