Yes, that demo is indeed awesome. Analogue TV through the aerial and
Freeview / Sky through the RGB input is nowhere near as good! :(

I would love to see the Euro 1080i service - not really much there though
is
there. That said, I have seen better reproduction of current Sky/Freeview
broadcasts on lower res sets.

My biggest worry though, and this affects all DLP sets I believe, is that I
am not sure I am happy with a TV with such a critical part subject to
bearings/motors wearing out. Certainly, this was the main issue with the
set I had returned. I fear that the design-life of the
"mechanicals" may be
shorter than the acceptable life of a TV set.

I will be checking out the RD50 though. ;)

Thanks for the link Jon. Following it I dropped into my local Comet to see
if they had the Sagem on display.

They did!

Demoing using a PC with some WMVHD clips - Terminator, etc.

Absolutely fantastic picture!

After picking my jaw up off the floor I can't wait to see these new
versions
when they are available. Might even get one before Sky HD and check out the
Euro 1080i service.

Don
