Haven't solved the problem of the unified UI but I think I just saw=20
the near ideal device. How about a full VGA touchscreen razor sharp=20
and totally legible on a 4" screen(in landscape mode too). Browser=20
built in, wifi or bluetooth. Thin and light and plenty of battery=20
life and pretty nippy too. =A3380 and about the same size as a pronto=20
or an ipaq. Oh, stone me it is an ipaq (the hx4700).

I'm not sure I'd use it as a PDA but as a control device it felt near=20
perfect in the hand. Just the UI to crack and athough it has IR too=20
I'm not sure it would be anything like as good as the pronto for=20
power etc.=20=20

Still I may not be able to resist next week in the airport duty=20
free...
