Hiya,
This really is the key to anything that you want the rest of the family
to be able to use. The interface has got to be simple and easy to
understand.
Microsoft - through all of their faults and issues really have gone to
town on the UI for Media Edition. Even so, that a two minuet visit to
pcworld to 'play' with some toys, and you could easily navigate through
its screens and get around the system (swmbo was impressed to!) - from
weather to internet to music and video's.
If you see a logical direction with this then its also not going to be
too long before theres a download for your pda to give it remote control
over your box - with the same simple to use interface.
From the bits I've played with (and its not a lot really!) it just
works, remote and all - and thats the bit that will appeal.
I'm waiting for the day when you 'boot' your tv and get the options to
view not only 'My Pictures...' but 'Our Pictures...' and 'Their
Pictures...' jeeze :)
another tupputh for the pot!
Wayne.
