I am eagerly awaiting for a store to have one of the RD50s in to have a

at it - the specs look great to me.

I did have (for a week) the Sagem equivalent but it was rubbish - it went
back because it was faulty - and I want to be certain that these faults are
not present in the updated version.  There is a thread on the AV forums at

I=92ve currently got a 47=94 Panasonic RP TV (and a Panasonic AE100) and

formulating a plan to replace the RP TV with a 50=92 Plasma. The only

being the cost!. These new Optima RP Tvs appear to fit the bill and at only
=A31999 for the 50=94 version, they could be classified a bargain (TM
