Hi Simon,

If you are happy with a serial control link then take a look at a
product from Phaedrus called the VIOM this is a very capable input
output device with 16 inputs, 16 outputs and 8 timers plus an expansion
relay board option.  It has some inbuilt 'smarts' too to handle local
actions.  Cost is £42 +Vat  (£15 for the relay board)
