Maplin, RS etc have LEDs with a built in resistor for 12V operation.

Eg. RS part 355-6736.

Or you could use a 12V relay, and provide the LED with some other
voltage/resistor combo. The latter may be required if the total of all
the LEDs exceeds the rated current output of comfort (no idea what that
is! LEDs don't take much though).
