New TiVo network card - Terbonet

No, not a spelling mistake - this is a low cost alternative to the turbonet
card, (though all of you should have one by now!), build by a Canadian of
all things ;)

Below is the message I received from Canadian Doug:

Cheers,

Tony.

Started as a protest against 9th tee's extortionate shipping..... (charge
Canadians US$25 for P&P and spend
$1.02!!!)

It's currently a non-profit for non-US tivo owners kinda thing :) I have
some left from the build I did for Tivocanada.com members. 39GBP inclusive
asking price is about half what they seem to go for there at Laser...I will
accept paypal (+1.8%) or a Giro transfer (Barclays). Sorry no CE mark and
no $$ to get one (I assume anything requiring you to open up a consumer
unit
would have issues).

Hey, it's open source, you could even go build your own
:) It's functionally equivalent to turbonet, but does NOT fit dual drive
DirectTivos...on purpose.

Do with this info as you will.

Vive la Tivo!

Doug
