It COULD be that you've been banned from the server :)
Just had that with one of my clients - a BDF attack was detected and banned
his ip.
It was all just innocent screwing around and getitng passwords wrong
though..

I dunno if Chris runs BFD or similar, but I imagine he has some sort of
protections going on...

The IP you get to is the last one before the server, which is exactly what
my client was getting.
A quick unban and he was sorted again.

The other thing of course could be some sort of routing issues....
