In an email a while back, which was replying to some questions I had, Keith
Doxey mentioned a 'KAT5 Whole House Audio Module' which is going to be able
to do all that. I don't know about the timescale/availability though.

He wrote:
"The WHAM is basically several amplifiers (32W RMS per channel) and
electronic volume/tone controls in one neat box that will sit beneath (or
above ) the KAT5 switcher. It will receive all its commands from the
switcher so whatever method you use to control the switcher
(IR/Serial/Web/xPL/xAP) it will pass the appropriate commands to the
WHAM."

I hope you don't mind me quoting you Keith, but maybe someone will read my
email and hold onto there money until your option is available.

OK chaps, all this talk about amps is potentially bad for the wallet.
Any recommendations for a budget/reasonably priced stereo (doesn't
have to be 5:1) amp with serial control interface? Ability to select
the source, set the volume is all that is really required for my HA
audio needs.

Patrick
