No it's not.

A is 440 Hz at concert pitch. This is defined as A4 or the A in the forth
octave on a standard modern day concert piano - normally written as A440.
There was an older international standard (A=435) so sounds a little flat
to
the modern piano tuner. Listen to a recording of say a French orchestra in
the 40's and they can sound flat (lower) in pitch than a modern orchestra.
A440 was defined as a standard in the mid 50's

A @ baroque pitch is 415 Hz - which is roughly a semi tone flat - on a
keyboard the G# (actually G is 415.3) is used widely today for "period
instrument" performance.
