The only thing about that is 8 x of those amps takes a LOT of space.
Even=20
I cannot add a 2nd rack unit :-)

The quest continues. I've also tried looking for a PC/Console affair
that=20
may be sold to enhance existing speakers, but again nothing so far.

Hi Gareth,

At that price you wont get anything decent.
Just the bits to build a reasonable amp would cost at least that.

you could look at www.ilpelectronics.com who make some fully encapsulated
modules but again it will probably break your budget.

Best bet would be to look round the secondhand shops of Car Boot sales for
older Hifi amps that only have Tuner/Tape/Phono input which for modern=20
user
renders them pretty useless due to lack of sources but as you only have a
single source just feed your signal into the Tape input and use it as a
slave amp. There must be loads of older Technics/Sony/Pioneer etc out=20
there
from people upgrading to Home Cinema systems.
