I had the issue discussed on TGB over the weekend.  In my experience, it is
related to a slightly less than perfect incoming UHF signal - on the first
day it happened my analogue C4 signal was pants too.   This was resolved by
inserting a TV Distribution amp (note: not a simple amplifier) that
provides
6db gain on each output plus isolation between outputs.  Fingers crossed,
the issue is gone.

I have rationalised, in my own mind, that the Black Gold cards are not
locking onto the signal during start-up if the signal is not perfect.  I
have downloaded the new drivers and will give them a squirt.
