Chaps,
Sorry for the OT. A mate is looking for a new laptop and I'm too out of
touch to make any reasonable suggestions - plus the whole processor
thing confuses me :-(
It's wanted for general email & web-surfing, not specifically games,
video editing or anything else 'demanding'. On board LAN & modem would
be good, on-board wireless not essential, XP Pro or Home - no
preference, TV-out would be useful but not essential. I was going to
suggest no less than 256MB RAM, 40gig HDD - is this good enough ?
Budget is max of 800 quid including VAT & delivery.
Any suggestions ? (off-list if preferred)
