RE: xbox mediacenter shares - I'm a plonka

If you are using a recent XBMC build, there are two new settings in the
XboxMediaCenter.xml file:

In this Section:

<samba>
<workgroup>yourdomain</workgroup>
<winsserver>192.168.0.2</winsserver>
<debuglevel>0</debuglevel>
<defaultusername>yourname</defaultusername>
<defaultpassword>yourpass</defaultpassword>
</samba>

If you set the workgroup (use the domain name if you have a domain of
course), defaultusername and defaultpassword, you can browse the shares and
use abbreviated shortcuts:

<bookmark>
<name>Network Movies</name>
<path>smb://192.168.0.10/movies/</path>
</bookmark>

All in all, XBMC has matured into an absolute dream platform. :)

You need to edit your "XboxMediaCenter.xml" file.

For example Movies share would be...

<bookmark>
<name>Network Movies</name>
<path>smb://username:password@192.168.0.10/movies/</path>
</bookmark>

Replace with your own username, password and IP address of your server of
course.
