Automatic reminder

Hi all,

I recently moved my wash dryer into the garage (also known as node 0 ;))
which leaves me with the following problem. Apart from checking physically
I have no idea of knowing when it is finished. Ofcourse I only need to
check when the time has expired that I have set the clock on, but when
you're doing something else you often forget you've switched it on in the
first place.

So what I am looking for is some sort of alert (red blinking light, buzzer,
etc) in the living room which switches on after a set time. I was
personally thinking of a pushbutton next to the dryer which you push as
soon
as you've switched it on. Then after 2 hours it switches the alert on. It
would be even better if it was controlled by a PC. I've not had much luck
with X10 (see http://www.notalot.info/content/view/33/38/
), so would like
to avoid that.

Q.
