I was under the impression that if the ipod is on a pc which doesn't
contain the same info as the ipod . i.e. ipod has ten songs on it (from
home) itunes at work has no songs. You plug it in and the songs are
erased from the ipod . as the database doesn't match up.

Would anyone be kind enough to clarify ?

I bought my g/f one and she'd like to download some songs from my pc (I
don't have an ipod) but she's worried all her stuff will be deleted.

on her work PC AND her lappy at home?
