Thats handy to know.  What OS are you running, and what DVD player
software?
Have you ever tried any compressed formats?

I have been using a VIA EPIA M10000 Mainboard for over a year playing
back ripped DVD's. over a network from a server. I run myHTPC as a
front end.
(Uncompressed DVD VOB) It works very well.
